The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has officially released the 18th tranche of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, transferring over ₹20,000 Crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 9.4 Crore eligible farming families across India.
Under this landmark Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) operation, each verified beneficiary receives ₹2,000 quarterly, bringing the annual financial income support to ₹6,000.
Key Steps to Check Beneficiary Status on the Official Portal:
- 1Visit the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in) or use the KrishiDoot mobile app.
- 2Click on 'Know Your Status' and input your registered Registration Number or Aadhaar Number.
- 3Verify that your e-KYC status reflects 'YES' and Bank Account Aadhaar Seeding status is active.
- 4If your payment is paused, update your biometric KYC at the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or KrishiDoot Kendra.
The Department has urged state agricultural officers to fast-track land record verification so that newly enrolled farmers receive backdated benefits without delay.
